I plan to walk along the rivers and canals in New Mills

Total distance 7km ( approx 4.5miles), generally flat with 1 short steep climb upto the canal about 50 mt ascent. We finish along the spectacular (but exposed) millenium bridge.

Good walking footwear is essential and walking poles may be useful

Start on Hyde Bank road, outside the leisure centre at 10:35am. I plan to drive but the 10am bus from Glossop will drop you at Queens Bridge / Coop for 10:25. We should finish for the 1pm return bus

Coffee stop after about 40 mins but there is no convenient cafe for lunch
