What we do:

We enjoy seeing and hearing about far flung places, from the Arctic to the Antarctic and from desert to rainforest, but we also like finding out more about places closer to home too

We are happy for anyone in the group to tell us about their travels but there's no pressure on anyone if they prefer not to. But we are open to any suggestions from members if they know someone who would like to come along and share their experiences

When and where:

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month except for December and August

Our meetings are from 10.00 am to 12.00 in Bradbury House, on Market Street in the centre of Glossop

Is there a cost?

We ask for a contribution of roughly £10 per term - this covers the hire of the room and can be reduced if we have sufficient numbers - so bring a friend.

Where we have been this year

In September and October we went to India with Sue and Martin

In November we went to Uzbekistan with Pam

In January we went to Japan with Stewart

In February we went to see mountains and markets in Central Asia with Pam

In March Alan and Jo took us to Bavaria

In April we hiked around the Grand Canyon with Pamela

In May we visited Michigan with Graham

In June we saw something completely different with Stewart in Turkmenistan
