5 of us enjoyed a pleasant 10km walk around the area to the south of Marple

We started on the Middlewood trail before crossing to the Macclesfield canal for a short distance. We then headed acroos some underused but interesting paths to the High Peak canal at Strines. Unfortunately there were no benches for lunch so we resorted to 'sitting' on the metal bridge which proved a litle difficult to restart from for some of us!

We then returned to Marple without finding anywhere for refreshments.
